In the Book of Mormon, in times of great wickedness, God would make items slippery so they would be lost and none would be able to find. (Helaman 13:31)
a promise the Book of Mormon says over and over is, "Inasmuch as you shall keep the commandments, ye shall be blessed. Inasmuch as you shall not keep the commandments, ye shall be cut off."
For the "rapture" I would look at Matthew 24 (especially 20-42)
