Sparrow's answer will be a lot better than mine. But please don't be harsh on him, as he is not here as often as some of us.
But my feeling about this is that someone who chooses to quit living while their physical body/plus personality is still viable and they could use them as vehicles to learn things on this Earth (which is the reason they came here)....is in a very different position than someone who is terminally-ill for example, and decides to take the final days or weeks of terrible suffering away. -Or even for unselfish reasons -to release loved ones from constant vigil and worry....
Both deeds will have meanings. Beyond what I can imagine or project. Meanings to the Spirit of that person.
