Dehydration can be an issue in the summer months especially and we need an appropiate amount of water to flush toxins out of the kidneys.
Water is essential for life. Our need for it is greater than food. But you can over do it.
I think listening to your body and drinking when you're thirsty is a sensible path to follow.

Be aware:

Drinking lots of water or any liquid flushes the soluble vitamins B Complex and C out of your body....

Drinking a lot after meals makes life very difficult fior your digestion.
