Adultery (unrighteous acts in passion)
The third commandment - "Do not commit adultery" - differs among laymen and monks.
First of all, the commandment associated with sexual desire, for the lay people: "do not have sex without love and not sleep with a stranger husband or wife."
Perhaps sex without love or sex, after which there are remorse, and brings pleasure, but in the shower at the same time there is no joy, it creates devastation. If you enter into sexual relations only for the sake of pleasure, then in such a relationship between a man and a woman, most likely, there will be bitterness.
On the other hand, when you are sleeping with a stranger or a wife, you inflict heavy damage on the work of the soul arising in conjugal relationships, attachment and the desire for one-person possession, so, naturally, these sufferings will return to you. If people who have married do not have sexual relations with anyone other than their husband or wife, they will not have to have remorse at heart, the soul will always be in a stable state and, naturally, the relationship between the spouses will be harmonious.
In modern people there is information that during stress, energy is better spent; they cherish the illusion that, freed from stress, they will gain a sense of relief, in reality, by spending sexual energy, they expend merit, deplete the physical body and weaken the will.
If in the World of Men to absorb sexual data and under the influence of these data enter into a relationship - if you strengthen this trend, then in the next life, coming out of the genitals, will reincarnate in the World of Animals. In the World of Animals, under the influence of energy changes during estrus, the animal does not care who to have sex with, this is a world where everyone is looking for males or females and mating.
If you want to achieve Liberation, then it is extremely important to preserve the integrity of sexual energy. The same applies to believing laymen who think about Liberation. Thanks to the practice of not adultery, you become energetic and able to lead an active life.
Perhaps we can say that the practice of monks who are not fixed on sexual desire, compared with the practice of the laity, is a life led by sages. Since if we do not waste energy in vain and if it really spreads throughout the body, we will find the highest bliss of the process "Joy - Pleasure - Silence - Lightness - Samadhi".
