It is my understanding, that 'spirit' is a generalized reference to the interconnectedness of all that is and isn't, and.. 'soul' is our individualized claim to a portion of that interconnectedness/spirit, as our 'spirit identity', not unlike the notion of 'ego'.. i understand this as 'energy', and our perceptions of it..
