The shift, the touch
So cool and balanced
The lift and kiss
Of new.
Where glowing embers
And the heat
Off a cup of tea
Were the light
That I swarmed around,
That soft stream
Of gently frosting flow
Reached me, I got it.
I finally heard.
That the heat and the temper,
The life and the matter of mind
Was me.
To keep me balanced,
The divine cool of my dearest's
Ethereal unbeating heart
And his dancing winter winds
Was what I had needed all along.
No more fear for freezing
No more distance to the lifeless chill
Where life is, am I
All else is purely divine.
