Be careful what you wish for. Your paragraph points to the reason why we should be careful.

An alternative is called such because it is an alternative. Once the medical establishment appropriates it and takes it under its wings it will cease to be alternative. The doctors, hospitals, FDA, government, etc. will control it and will try to get maximum $$$ out of it.

IMO, to have the medical profession accepting alternative therapies will be a disaster, for the practitioner, the clients, and your pocket.

In order to stay alternative it has to remain truly alternative in all respects.
