In some ways it does not matter what we think. All we can give you are opinions and ideas. These opinions and ideas will vary, and they will not give you the knowledge you seek.
I suggest you make the effort to do your own research. There is plenty of information out there. If you really want to know the answers to your questions then the out-of-body literature may be a good place to start. Such evidence may be subjective, but if it shows that we are more than just this physical body then it also suggests that there is some kind of afterlife.
