There is the occasional story in folklore of a Faerie/elemental loving a human and giving up everything for them. It is the subsequent birth of the hybrid child that shatters the relationship- the differences between them are too profound for it to continue.
But generally it is the other way round- a human falls in blind love with one of them, or they tempt humans to their world for their own purposes. If you meet one, best go the other way.
