Well, here's my 2 cents again. I suggest you try to stop asking and/or worrying about it. My reason is that the more you focus your energy on it, the more you will draw that energy to you.
Many things seem to "right" themselves when we can just let go, and letting go can be tough. This guy may just need to see that you've let go or may be trying to find a way to let go himself (even if it's creepy and weird.)
Keep yourself safe, but try not to focus on it too much.
