Fascinating Squatch! There is so much afoot on "the other side" and I love it when we get these glimpses of what some of those going-ons are!!

Hi Tobi! Thanks for starting this thread! I'm very much looking forward to hearing more about the OBE you had with your doggy companion!

Mine took place about 3 years ago... It took me almost 2 years to tell the story to another without spontaneously forming tears and then having to work my way through those tears to the end... I really didn't talk about it often... most people simply can't relate to such a thing... and by default it opens the doors to all sorts of implications that most simply don't seem to be all that wired for! Many on this forum can easily attest to that... :^)

So about 3 years ago Max, our 5 year old Scotty, started seeming ill... It was an odd thing.. nothing obvious... it was just clear that something was up... We took him to the vet, they found nothing, he was eating, but barely (we later guessed that it may have been a chicken bone obstruction from the day he had recently gotten into the garbage and made a mess of the kitchen floor.. we shortly-after got us a doggy proof garbage can.. never wanted to repeat that again!)

Then one night he seemed off enough that we planned to take him to the vet first thing the next day. He didn't make it another hour... He was a most special dog to us... we have lost dogs before, quite a few over the years but even then it's never easy...

So the next day I was at work (I'm an interior trim carpenter) I had to run to the building supply store and while returning to the job site I could feel Max around me... just as clear-as-clear he was hovering in the cab of the truck as a very distinct vibration, just a hair shy of being physical. He was disoriented, deeply concerned about his current condition, it was like a part of him was overlapping into me. I drove up to the job-site, and happily no one else was there. I went to a back room of the house I was working on and sat on the floor with my back to the wall, relaxed, and said, okay Max, I'm here for you...

I want to spend a moment on what happened next because it says a lot about how we're now considering ourselves as being physical, locked to a body, and yet this body thing is conditional.. we are, and we aren't... we view through the eyes of a body, but should those strict bonds be fractured-while-awake, and we're then free to move separately... using our "energetic layer of self"... we're then exposed to something about ourselves that is fully undefinable in physical terms. I "do" know what it's going to look like the moment I die... I'll just move out of this most interesting shell, in much the same way that I did this morning with Max.

So I tell Max I'm there for him, and while still sitting I lean forward just a little and now I'm two... I can still see and feel my physical body, but now I can also see from another body that is now out of tandem with that one... still sitting... but not connected.... it was then that I saw Max... he was just to my right, he was looking at me cautiously, not sure whether to approach me or not, I could still feel what I was feeling from him before, but now I was getting the visuals.

I told him "Max, it's okay" and held out to him... he came to me a bit lighter and more comforted and layed next to me putting his head on my leg, as he'd done countless times while alive, and I heard/felt him sigh as he lay there. I put the energetic version of my hand on his head and rubbed his neck and ears lovingly, all the while marveling at how real this was (I clearly felt fur)... and feeling so ~honored~ that I was able to be here to comfort him in this way....

So here, we're bound lovingly in this quite wondrous exchange, and then something extraordinary happened that I couldn't have even remotely have anticipated...

Out from the left came bounding-in Teddy... He was the brother to Max who had died about a year earlier after jumping our fence via a snowbank and attacking a moose that had wondered-in close to our home (we lived in the country on acreage). ...and when I say bounding I mean, excited, focused, thrilled that I was there in such a way that was direct and for real. He leaped right up on my chest, and pushing me back a little, in the playful way he used to do often when I sat down to play with him while he was still with us. Again a "very" tactile exchange... fir, body, every bit as physical-feeling but we were all doing this in our non-physical bodies. I actually had to calm him down and maneuver him in such a way that he was positioned to lay down, head near my left leg, but he kept looking at me with this most wondrous smile, and was every bit as excited as I was...

So the three of sat there for about 30 seconds... Max feeling better, exhausted but notably more relaxed, and it felt as though he was about to go to sleep... and Teddy, just a ball of doggy integrity, most pleased with the moment, and grinning from ear to ear..... and my running my fingers through the fur around their ears just sitting there in awe, and feeling like I was witnessing the true meaning of what the word "magic" really is.... And then it faded... it broke-up as though a dial was being turned and the station went out of sync. And I was back in my body by myself in an empty room... but still feeling this deep awe and deeply humbled by this majesty of a most mystical exchange...
