Whilst it could be explained away as 'just one of those things', at my father-in-law's funeral we witnessed a typical 'Terry' trait. (Terry being his name.)
The room was packed - he was a popular man. Very funny, life and soul of the party and always up for a joke.
It was February. As the coffin was making its way through the curtain, someone's mobile phone rang. To the tune of, 'We wish you a Merry Christmas'.
Inside I just shook my head knowingly - he would have loved that and I wouldn't have put it past him to orchestrate the whole event!
Also, I had a lucid dream a few years ago where I met a young boy who told me he was going to attend his own funeral that day. I asked him if everyone does and his reply was we have the option, but it's not compulsory. He was treating the whole thing as a party, something to celebrate, not mourn.
