Very true, this whole story of the saint who is poor, of course it exists but for the 'normal' member of the society it is really not true. If you are poor you try to fix everything yourself and what does it help to repair the roof yourself? Only that a tradie gets less jobs. If you have money you buy organic and save the environment a fair bit of poison and so on. You go to concerts and local musicians are paid. You can give to charity andso on.
I think actually the poor = good story is emphasized by the upper 1% ...but that is a very political story we won't go there.
