Nowadays I actually enjoy the dark, as a matter of fact, I like sleeping in a pitch-dark/silent room; I even have an essential oil diffuser that emits a little green light (power on) and that bothers me

PS: I forgot to mention that during my childhood and early adulthood, I also had endless dreams with monsters, demons, and evil beings; and maybe that's the reason why I feared the dark so much. Not trying to be preachy (I believe everyone must find their own way), but when I started trusting Christ and his angels everything changed for good.

In waking life I have a fear of the dark. A literal fear of it. It was easier at times to deal with when younger actually. But ever since a paranormal experience several years ago, I never sleep with my light off. I put and keep it on at night, and turn it off during the day.

Apologies, as I do not intend to sound rude here, despite to be honest, yeah I'm feeling kinda rude right now. This is however no fault of your own. Merely my own response or rather feelings as to what you have written to me.

I've put in bold the adjective that should have made my above quoted message quite clear.

Your reasons for response to me I realize are intended to do good rather than harm. I understand you do not mean to sound preachy, and I appreciate it.

But I didn't say the reason for my own fear of the dark was due to a dream or a nightmare, or a belief in monsters when I was a child. We discussed a little of this in the topic here, yes. But, that in relation to my own fear of the dark, rather, I stated clearly, it was due to a paranormal experience that had occurred several years ago.

After and since that I never sleep with my light on.

That is what I actually said. While I realize you are trying to be helpful. It isn't. I'd prefer to be able to post something for what it is, an attempt to help another member with a question they were asking, and then if they would like to respond fine, they asked the questions. But as far as others go in a response to me, in a thread that isn't about me, or my fears? What I mean to say is, your response may have been more helpful, if it were in an effort to help the op.

As to sleeping with my light on.

It shouldn't bother you any. It's not your electric bill.
