You know what, people sometimes don't like it if you are not from there culture but they think you feel like you know it better then them, even if they just think that, for example you from UK, you have white skin? when you go there the thai people may think "who does this white person think he is with Buddha on his flesh, he doesn't know anything about Buddha his just a tourist" something like that... Iv been to thailand the people are pritty nice but still... that kind of attitude can be a thing sometimes not even with culture it can be any group, it's like the people think you are out of place and are an idiot, i think its not as bad as it use to be with the younger generations though.
