There are a number of issues here. How one sees the energies called God is relevant. Whether one believes in Satan & demons is another. The concern about being told the truth occupies a victim position of being manipulated.

The main issue is why you’re giving anyone else (demons) the ability to ‘take’ you away from anything. Move past this fear.

One can also ask if what we’ve been told about Satan & demons is totally bogus disinformation, meant to scare us, keeping us reliant on organized religion for protection (yes). All information that is based in fear can be safely discarded as not being from benevolent beings.
