In addition, some of what you hear are the spirits conversing with each other, but they don't make it clear at the time.
For example, I heard one of those 'nice ghosts' say 'eff off' once and I was taken aback asking what ever did I do to deserve such disrespect?
I was told they weren't talking to me, but to another spirit who was trying to 'gatecrash the party' - spirits are fiercely territorial.
I am waiting for one of these 'Shinigami' to give me my copy of the 'Death Note' and so far, that hasn't eventuated either. lol
However, their world isn't far off what the spirit world is like with 'gods of death' sitting around gambling with human lives because they have nothing better to do and they die a second death if they fall in love with a human being...etc
