It was your premise that popularity is a measure of quality, substance, what's good, but the Maccas analogy shows that is flawed. Maccas is objectively 'junk food', but it's very popular. Point being, just because a thing is popular doesn't make it good, and Blah Blah Blah is objectively inane regardless of 'taste'.
