As a disclaimer I have Saturn square Venus in my natal chart, so I may be fated to this energy... but yes. Around October of 2014 Saturn was opposite my natal Saturn and square my Venus and my BFF and I drifted apart.
There are no regrets on my end. I still love my (former) BFF exactly the same, but we are going in different directions and have a hard time finding common ground for interests/beliefs any more.
I am not sure if it will remain permanent or not. It is entirely possible that in the future we will change again (as our lives change) and we will find common ground again. I do feel that the separation was necessary for our growth.
