I completely agree. The word "enlightenment" has become almost meaningless because it means different things to different people.
Unfortunately there is a lot of glamour around spiritual teachers, and people like to claim that this teacher or that teacher is enlightened. I suspect that none of us has reached the level where we can judge what anyone else has attained. But we still like to claim that we have sat at the feet of an enlightened teacher.
In the end, it does not really matter. All we can do is work with our own consciousness, and if we find inspiration from any teacher then that can only help us on our journey.
