It is unlikely the spirit of a dead physical body would be trapped in the corpse, however the spirit could choose to remain wherever it wanted. This could possibly even be w/ the buried corpse. This wouldn’t be in the nature of a zombie where the spirit, even if it made the curious choice of remaining in or associated w/ the buried casket could reanimate the physical body. This type of zombie is pure sci-fi.
