If you critically look at your own sentence "I WANT samadhi" ....there is no WANT ....
this WANT only is stopping you from getting there.
Samadhi is OCCURRED by its own and it is not in your control.
whatever you do (meditation etc.) is just a preparation to OCCUR that state (samadhi).

I agree.
One thing, tho, is if a person has no desire - they won't have the focus to reach Samadhi, by any name.
I believe that desire burning in us is a gift from God....to reach Him or Home or Heaven or Nirvana or
Satchitanand or Supreme Peace or plain ol' Bliss.
Going within - yup...and then suddenly....voila.
