It's good you don't trust blindly anything, and anybody (although you seem to kind of do it with science and technology ... :) )
Even Seth "said" that nobody should take his words as a bible. Channeling is always affected by factors like the channel's beliefs, and the audience beliefs.
If you're open to the possibility that the Seth material might help you on your path, browse it, think about it, and see.
The way I did, and do, is I try to look for guidance, answers, and confirmations inside me, from my inner source of knowledge. With some practice, that should be everybody's main source. You could even ask your inner source how much credence should you give Seth (I got 80-85%).
It's okay to ask on public forums, but you should take the answers with a big grain of salt.
