Hi. Yesterday I did a hypnosis for contacting my spirit guide. I did it during the day so I wouldn't fall asleep. I felt like I was in a hypnotic state, awake but completely relaxed and kind of far off from my surroundings. I saw white light and could tell there was a presence. I asked the name and thought, Maya. This is not a name I would have chosen myself. I don't know anyone by that name. I got a peaceful, happy feeling from the presence. I looked up the name Maya and there is a Hindu Goddess by that name or it also means illusion. So my question is could a Goddess be a spirit guide? Or maybe it was just a spirit with the name Maya? I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I have spirit guides. I get signs all the time in waking and dream life. I was just curious to see if I could actually meet them. Anyway, I just wanted to get other people's take on this.
