In the US this may be true. You have the First Amendment. Not so here in the UK
where you can even be imprisoned for being non-PC or at least harassed by the Authorities.
The commercial world prefers sheeple where even consensus is a "bad word"!
Otherwise the fashion industry would fall apart, for a start. There have been several
instances of the young coming up with their own cultural symbols only to have
the fashion world seize them and sell them back to their inventors!
