This to me sounds like a fear of surrender.
The more you surrender the more things will balance out for you.IMO
I don't believe you will loose your emotions in emptiness.
My experience is that when surrendered to emptiness, true Divinity can operate.
You will start learning which emotions are built from past experiences and future fears and delusions.
This will then teach you how to Love in innocence and purity in the present.
Of course this all opinion based on my experiences.
