I wonder, if our thoughts, continuously send transmissions to our guides, or higher self - what have you, and theyre able to relay back to us just what we need.
I read a book, I dont remember the name or author about having cords or attachments to people that we've known, yet dont anymore, nor are they anywhere near us, that we can still send signals to. Maybe that has something to do with it.
