Hands and feet are locations of what some refer to as "secondary chakras", and are places where exchange with the environment occurs. Energy/qi sensations can feel like a lot of different things, and energy is moved by using awareness.
Look into grounding, and find activities that help you engage with the physical world (physical exercise, cooking/eating, etc.). If you're overwhelmed by what you're experiencing then taking a break and finding other things to focus on, or getting checked out by a psychiatrist if you have to, might be a good idea. It's important to stay balanced, otherwise these experiences can't be perceived clearly
