I have been told many of times when we meditate we are effectively putting our body to sleep so to speak, we enter a dream like state. So like when you wake up in the morning you are a little sleepy until you fully wake up again, The same is with meditation, you are a little sleepy when you come back out until you fully wake up again. Since I have understood this it makes so much sense to me and is actually like waking up...
