Well that is one way to show how words can be used to suggest a different meaning. Kale has been around for thousands of years. Although present day kale came about through thousands of years of selective propagation this does not make it synthetic like an imitation vegetable, (Yeah you didn't say it did). This is not even a genetically altered lab food. It is food cultivated to bring out desirable traits, its green leafy heartiness. Just like we get heartier and withstand disease food does as well. Just about any fruit grown today has a greater average size, more color and sugar due to selective propagation. Growing something organically is not going to undo this. Does it warrant great concern? There are many many many more important things threatening your health.
