I am certain that if you Google "how to read a person's aura" (or anything similar) you will get lots of website from the search.

Having said that, the most common ways of practicing to see auras are:

1) Place your hand on top of a blank white sheet of paper (or a white wall background) and turn off the lights. Place emphasis about several cm away from your fingertips and then focus out (zoom out). You will notice a powder-like whiteish color emitting from your fingertips.

2) Look at yourself in the mirror. Place focus on the middle of the forehead (3rd eye chakra) and just zoom out. Use your peripherals to notice the same colors as above. If you keep the focus long enough, there will be a mixture of color that shows.

3) With white background, focus on someone. Focus on either their left or right arms and zoom out several cm's away. You will get a mixture of colors as well.

Hope it works. I'm in the process of learning to see auras as well and the mixing of colors is what I've noticed a lot (red & orange, gray, etc)
