Being "in love" is infatuation. It's the high you get at first. It doesn't last. It's evolution's way of getting you to notice a prospective match. But love...long lasting, mature love, the feeling you get after spending your highs and lows in the presence of someone else...that's a choice. It's a conscious choice every day to continue to love. And it's worth it.
Sometimes, love means letting someone go though. There are some loves that are strong and magical and life changing. But if you can't make that person happy, if there's something about your wants/needs that don't match the person you love, sometimes the real sign of love is knowing that and just wanting to see them succeed and be happy, even if it's not with you.
Love comes in many forms. The greatest blessing of all is being able to experience love in all its many forms.
