I have been told that the last major shift came 3200 years ago when the magic left the world and mythological creatures disappeared and humans decreased into this 4th generation state. Back then it was the end of the age of demi-gods and now I am told it is the end of the age of angels and the return towards the golden age where gods and humans are equal.
