I think there's a slightly different quality between lucid dreams and daydreams. Of course, it might be a matter of degree.
Since I've had lucid dreams that turned into astral projection experiences, my personal view is that a lucid dream is an astral projection into a sort of "dreamspace" in the lower astral.
