I'm a hunter(some are surely against it but I use what I take and always thank the Earth for providing). Anyway,I found out years back that the only way to hike in the winter is to strip down to just a long shirt, tie your jacket around your waist. The worst thing you can do is soak yourself with sweat, especially if you plan to stop and sit for a period of time. I definitely haven't had the sweetness smell on those trips though
