G'zaagi'in Nindede

It was two years ago today that my beloved Father left his ailing physical body behind and journeyed home to the Spirit World.

Dad, it makes sense that you journeyed home on the day of the year that some believe the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is its thinnest. I am so glad you are home and not suffering in this world anymore.

Thank you for all your love and guidance. I'm so glad you are my Father! I love you, my Dad; G'zaagi'in Nindede!

PICTURES: Dad with my brother in 1956: Even though he was not very well nurtured as a child, my Dad did his best to be a good father to us kids. Here he is playing with my brother in the field.

And the painting I did of Poundmaker (a Plains Cree Chief and peacemaker in the 1860s) in 2010: I always saw my Dad's face in this painting.
