My take on this....
Death reversed as a past relationship indicates that this relationship should have ended long before it finally did. IOW, the relationship has been dead for a while, but neither one of you actually laid it to rest, until now, which is card 2. Your situation now is Justice reversed, it's unfair, or you feel that it is unfair. You were not given the opportunity to make adjustments, to have your day in court or to plead your case, so to speak. Decisions were made for you…by him. It was his decision to break up, not yours. You didn't have a say in the matter. Which dovetails into card 3, which is his situation and he is the Queen of Swords, she is decisive, independent, straightforward and sees things as black and white, not it shades of grey. But above all, she represents honesty - he is being honest with you. And this honesty leads to card 4, what you think about getting back together - 5 of wand - you know it's going to be a challenge and a struggle - no one on that card is interested in working together. Both cards dealing with him are swords, so it's logic, not emotion, that is at play. How do you change a mind that is made up? That's a challenge for sure! He's thinking, (card 5, Page of Swords reversed), that getting back together makes no sense. It also indicates that he is inexperienced with this sort of thing and would rather keep his mouth shut. Which leads to card 6, what would be the challenge for this, Judgement - getting it all out in the open so you both can rise above it. Quite a challenge indeed! Especially if this is something he doesn't want to do. Soooo, what would be helpful in getting everything out in the open? Card 7, 6 of Swords, cutting yourself off from it and move away from it. Distancing yourself from this and focusing on you and you alone is the best thing you can do for now. Maybe after the dust has settled and the rawness of this experience has had some time to heal, you'll begin to see things in a different way. Talk to others who have been, or are in, the same situation as you and you might find that you are in a better position now than you once thought. Which may be what you don't know, Card 8, the Hermit reversed. You are on your own and you fear it. You don't want to be alone, yet alone you are. It has been said that sleeping alone is lonely, but sleeping with someone who tears your heart out is worse. Your life has changed, and now you need to figure out what is best for you moving forward, by yourself. Which will lead you to a life blessed by The SUN, card 9, overall result.
