You might well live in a pathologically negative place. I have lived in two places in the American south where the bad energy was palpable, though it took a while to pick up on it. It manifested itself in any number of unfortunate ways, with special emphasis on the way the people treated one another, or, more accurately, the way they treated people who were not of their caste. I've no rational explanation for this, though I've always wondered if it is the spiritual and psychological residue of slavery, and everything that came after.
