Everwhere I go people call it the Witching Hour, and I think everyone and their dog wakes up at 3am, at least everyone I talk to does.

These days I end up waking around 3 and staying up until 5 or 6, and then going back to bed until around 11.

If you research old sleep patterns, apparently in history we used to have 2 sleeps at night. http://slumberwise.com/science/your-...leep-like-you/ Apparently our ancestors would go to bed, then wake up and spend quite awhile awake, then go back to sleep and that was the norm.

But I also wouldn't be surprised if our ancestors were more spiritual too. There is a lot of lore and superstition about the witching hour. Honestly, I can see my spirit guides as clear as any other time of day or night during that time so I don't notice if the "veils" are thinner or what not.

But I do tend to have a lot to think about and let go of and work on, or pray about at that time of night. It's like I naturally feel like working on things at that time.
