I forget where I read this, but it was either a comment someone posted here on the forum or I came across it on the Internet. However, it said we all have this healing ability and use of this energy already within each of us...and that different modalities talked about are just marketed differently, using different tools and methods to access it. I guess to each his own, whatever works. I'm glad for you that you have a support group. I really have no mentor, which is ok in a way because I probably have all that I'm looking for within. It would be nice though to have someone guide me. Question, are there certain rules or guidelines you're given for using your energy? In reiki for example, for self healing I was taught how to begin by smoothing the aura first and start at the crown, and to finish swirl the energy counter clockwise on myself and smooth the aura again. However I was told if I'm working on a male to swirl the energy clockwise instead.
