Back Pain....

The underlying cause of most back pain problems involves an extraordinary large complex of muscles in the lower back called the iliopsoas. It has arms like an octopus which connect to the pelvis, hips, thigh bones, and every vertebrae in the lower back and up to the lower thoracic vertebrae in the mid-back.

"The Esmonde Technique" by Miranda Esmonde-White is most useful in teaching one how to strengthen this muscle and all the body as well. She does many programs on Public Television, if money is a problem.

This muscle can pull vertebrae out of alignment if it is too weak or becomes exhausted through over/improper use.

Yet you will be hard pressed to make a body strong with exercise alone.

Proper diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables, as much organic as possible, better yet ......home grown! Elimination of refined foods, fast foods, refined sugar and flour, alcohol and tobacco is needed for a healthy body.

Proper thoughts are essential as well. An untrained mind is a most dangerous thing! Mindfulness, Meditation, Thoughfulness and even "Not thinking" are tools you will need to grow.

Start today, wherever you are, DOING just what you can do today. A little at a time until you have succeeded at all. One day at a time is your path out of Pain.
