Thank you Chirpyrosa and apologies for not responding earlier, and apologies also to everyone else for the gibberish in my last two posts.

There is at times a 'can't trust em' feeling, and I think in part it is a case of balancing between too close and not even close. The fire can warm you up, but it can also burn you.

Chrischung - yes part of what I meant by the directions seemingly insinuated by synchronicity being important rather than the signs in and of themselves (although in a way they are one in the same) and maybe this relates to what you were saying as well Chirpyrosa. Trying to grab them obsessively can leave you with a fistful of air and little else other than frazzled nerves. Appreciation of the magical and mysterious nature of life on the other hand can be beautiful in the sublime.

As for the heart I agree, one thing I find that can be dangerous is allowing it to get overwhelming. There is a certain touch and go kind of keep it moving that reminds me of the phrase (and book title) the unbearable lightness of being. Like in life we must keep on dancing regardless or else it can get into mucky waters of sorrow which might threaten to drown a person which makes it hard to get things done.

Of course shutting down completely is worse imo, heartless people to me are the most lost of us all. Give me sorrow with the joy (both of which have to do with heart) over the blank, emotionless face of the void any day, regardless of how much shallow fun and pleasure such an existence might hold. I am suspicious of people who are not at least occasionally depressed or neurotic, not that i am the arbiter of all things right and true but just how I am at times, for whatever reason. Life shouldn't be so sanitized imo; dirt is from where the flowers grow and all that.
