Grandiose hopes is all I see.
People are free to believe whatever they want. If it's oversouls and the cosmos aligning that makes them sleep better at night and promotes them to build their self and share their self with the world then all the better for them. If it's fear of eternal damnnation, well good for them too. Whatever works for you.
