After my hamster passed I could hear her running on the wheel or having a chew on the bars of her cage for months. In our case when we then had a new addition arrive I would hear the wheel going and the bars being chewed at the same time
. Eventually it stopped and she moved on. I guess she was waiting to know we were okay.
Some believe that there pets are waiting in heaven or where we believe we will be when we ourselves pass.
