That sounds like a wonderful experience to have ^^. I've never really met my spirit guides or such but I've heard that they're always there for us, always listening, and I'm sure yours saw your letter and experienced your intent on it. Its no doubt that they probably answered back by playing that music as acknowledgement.
If I were to offer any advice/insight, perhaps the reason why they played the song "Happy Birthday" is because when someone turns older its like them shedding an old part and entering a new year for themselves. Just like new years resolution where you state out your old habits and declare to shed them to make room for new better habits, in the new year. What Im getting at is maybe the reason why they played Happy Birthday is because they are actually congratulating you on shedding your old self, telling you that this is the right path for you to be on?
Anyways thats my thoughts on this.
