Don't use "or" so much in your typing, just use commas, they are meant for a "pause". Instead of listing 'pictures or memories or feelings or dreams or events in nature and with people or symbols or visions or astral journeys or smells and tastes or a subtle sense or hunch' like that, you could list it like 'pictures, memories, feelings, dreams, events in nature, and with people, symbols, visions, astral journeys, smells, and tastes or a subtle sense, or hunch.' Use of language is very important for a reader, repeating words like "or" is very annoying to read.
