For me, at least, spirituality will always be an individual thing, not a group effort. It's between me and God/Universe/Creator or whatever you want to call the creating force.

Religion has its ''uses'' though. I just wished it didn't play such a fanatical role in politics..
And I would go even further than ''this forum'' and ''lone path''. Those who are truly serious about spirituality aren't even
in society, but in monasteries meditating all day dedicating their lives to seeking enlightenment. Most of us here are ''just'' seekers. I think one of the main, and perhaps inconvenient, messages of spiritual teachings throughout history is that asceticism separates the seeker from the serious practitioner. I don't believe we can ''have it all''...
