Week 1: Malkuth in Assiah and the 10 of Disks

Malkuth: The four Elements from the Quintessence compose man and each object of the material world. As they are perceived from Malkhut, Qabalists call them Cholem Yosodoth.
We cannot represent as external to us the Earth on which we live. On the other hand, we can situate ourselves in relation to the universe. In an astrological theme, the ASCENDANT (constellation rising on the horizon at birth) and the houses (division of the sky into twelve sectors of which the ASCENDANT is the pivot) indicate how we see the universe around us. The ASCENDANT is connected to the physical body. It crystallises the history of the racial and family lineage in a given individual.

Mallkuth in Assiah: Earth

The 10 of Disks: The number Ten, Malkuth, represents the final issue of the Energy. Here is great and final solidification. The force is completely expended and results in death. Mercury rules this card in Virgo; and this may imply that the acquired wealth, being inert, will be dissipated unless put to further use by devoting its power to objects other than mere accumulation. It is the futility of material gain.
