Yea you could say that its a connection to the Higher Self, but this so called Higher Self is the Oneness that we and everything else is of, its your true Self, but it may not work that way for you, you have to find your own way of letting this inner creativity flow through to you. Maybe just contemplating on what you want to achieve and seeing it come from within, just act as if you already have it without question. After some time you will just naturally feel it arising from within and there you are.
