If you already have the brightness by which distance is determined, and redshift at that distance is consistant, then you can assume distance from redshift. Redshift
itself is a measure of speed, and brightnessis a measure of distance. In the case of cars, redshift only measures speed (unless the brightness of the lights is known). You'd already know that, though.

LHC experiment failed 5 times and was unable to prove Big Bang theory. It would be better if you could guide 9000 scientists there and prove it.
